The Wyoming Chapter of The Wildlife Society 2026 Conference
Call for Workshops
Deadline for submission: December 12th, 2025
Please submit your proposals to: wytws.president@gmail.com
The Wyoming Chapter of the Wildlife Society will hold our annual conference at the Ramada Plaza in
Sheridan, WY, with the theme “From Science to Solutions: Appreciating and Strengthening
Research-Management Collaboration.” We are calling for workshop proposals!
Workshops may be proposed by individuals or groups of up to three organizers. Workshops should
provide opportunities for attendees to learn new techniques or approaches that could be useful for a
diverse group of wildlife students and professionals. Examples can range from statistical workshops (R,
Python, GIS), using novel tools, equipment or software for wildlife/habitat conservation decisions, to
communicating science, conflict resolution, to working with diverse partners.
Workshops will occur on Tuesday 7 April (full or half day). Please propose a desired time frame
(half-day or full-day workshop), minimum and maximum number of attendees, cost, and room and AV
(computer, cords, projector, etc.) requirements when submitting your proposal. The WY-TWS Board will
do their best to accommodate preferences, but final timing and acceptance will depend on balancing
space and schedule commitments.
Workshop organizers are encouraged to seek out funds that could support participation by presenters
or subsidize costs of participation by workshop attendees. If such opportunities are available, please
describe these in your proposal.
The submission deadline for workshop proposals is 12 December 2025. Please submit your proposals
to: wytws.president@gmail.com
