Madeline Sorensen, President
Madeline is in her fourth year at the University of Wyoming, studying Environment and Natural Resources with a concurrent major in Environmental Systems Science and minoring in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology and Management. She is from Cody, WY, and has a passion for wildlife, plants, and ecosystems. Outside of TWS, she enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, birding, and crafting.
Sophie Nowak, Vice President
Sophie is in her second year at the University of Wyoming, studying Wildlife and Fisheries Biology and Management along with Environment and Natural Resources. She was born and raised in Southeast Wisconsin but has loved exploring Wyoming and other western states. In her free time, she enjoys anything related to food or the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, and baking!
Liberty Araas, Treasurer
Liberty Araas is a junior at UW studying Wildlife and Fisheries Biology and Management, Painting, and planning to graduate with a GIS certificate. She is originally from Sheridan, Wyoming where she learned about bird watching but it wasn’t until she moved to Cheyenne, where she fell in love with it. Besides viewing wildlife, she loves exploring new places -especially if it’s outdoors- and tries to visit at least one new National Park every year.
Tavia Ossa, Secretary
Tavia is from Casper, Wyoming and in her second year at UW. She is majoring in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology and Management with minors in Rangeland Ecology and Watershed Management and Zoology. She is the secretary for the student chapter of WY-TWS. In her free time, Tavia enjoys hiking, fishing, camping, baking, and hanging out with friends. She plans to work for the Wyoming Game & Fish after graduating.
Avery Erickson, General Officer
Avery Erickson is a senior in Environmental Systems Science with a minor in Soil Science. She is originally from Kansas City (on the Kansas side), and enjoys running, reading, and hiking. This is her third year as a member of TWS but her first as an officer.
