Travel Awards

The Wyoming Chapter of The Wildlife Society announces the availability of travel awards for members who are attending and presenting a talk or poster at the WY-TWS annual meeting to be held in Cody, Wyoming (April 9-11, 2024).  Three student travel grants of $250 and three professional travel grants of $250 are available. 

Eligibility Requirements: 

To be eligible, applicants must be a member of WY-TWS at the time of application and planning on presenting a talk or poster. To be eligible for the student travel grant you must be a student at the time of the conference.

Application Components:

Each applicant must submit the following:

  1. Completed application form;

  2. A one-paragraph description of involvement in TWS activities (student chapter, state chapter, section, or national/international TWS). Students with TWS involvement will be given preference, but all applications will be considered; 

  3. A one-paragraph description of why you should receive a WY-TWS Travel Grant.

ESTIMATED TRAVEL EXPENSES 

Conference cost info: Early bird professional registration will be $200 and Early Bird student registration fee will be $140. Lodging at conference hotel will be ~$135/night.

Applications are due Feb 22, 2024.

Selected awardees will be notified by March 6th. To receive the grant money, selected awardees MUST send a receipt confirming registration for the conference (a forwarded copy of your e-mail registration confirmation will meet this requirement) to the WY-TWS Treasurer, Megan Smith, at:  treasurerwytws@gmail.com
